Jan. 9th, 2006 04:40 pmRight, so there is this large group of little boys who moved in to the building after Katrina. I am now known to them as "ferret lady" as they helped me carry my guinea pigs to the car when I took them to my parents to be taken care of during vacation. They think they are ferrets. Even though I corrected them after they asked me, "That be a ferret?". Now, however, I am back and still without my pets as they are still at the parent's house. This distresses them. So instead they have been following me around watching me do errands around the building like taking out the trash, carrying groceries, and doing laundry. All the while telling me about their homework. I don't remember HAVING homework at age six? Anyway, they are fascinated by the fact that I look like a child but am an adult who lives by herself. They kept asking why I didn't ring the doorbell and get my mom to let me in when I was struggling with groceries and my keys to the outside door of the building. I don't think the statement, "I am 24 and therefore live by myself" meant alot to them.
They're pretty cute, though. I am a little uneasy about the whole "ferret lady" thing, though. That's gotta be like two steps below "crazy cat lady"
