well THAT was exciting.
Was laying in bead in my underwear with Sam and Hattie watching a Lifetime Original move with Peter Outerbridge when the tornado siren went off. We didn't even know it was cloudy. Wandered out onto the porch and looked over to see green and purple clouds swirling with fingers coming down already. RAN back in and yelled to Sam to get dressed. We threw on some clothes, grabbed the dog and started running for the neighborhood storm shelter along with several other families. There were cops careening around the streets telling people to take shelter as apparently it was touching down like, RIGHT downtown in our part of the city.
AND in the middle of this, I was rupturing a cyst on my ovary. Actually I had JUST taken a Valium when all this started.
That is the only time I really, really thought we were in trouble. Probably because I SAW the fingers of the tornado started to descend.
Damn. No one was even expecting bad weather at all.
