Okay so I'm late for this what the fuck ever.
ANYWAY what am I thankful for? Lately I've been on a bit of a pity party bitchfest which I just loathe. People who purposely wallow all the time in pity make me want to kick them in the face.
So this year, what has happened that I'm thankful for?
1. Family, got a good one. Period.
2. Friends. Specifically seeing Meg over the summer, Amanda for having a baby I actually like, Thea for continuing to be a solid, awesome, fucking kickass friend, AMP for just continuing to be "the nice one", NikNak for continuing to be hilarious, Dylan because I got to see you in Europe for the THIRD time, and Sarah for the reason that is coming up beyond the fact that I just like you. :)
3. 11 months ago SarahV introduced me to Due South. We had the following conversation
SarahV: Do you remember a show called Due South?
Me: Uh...yeah did it have a Mountie and like, a dog? And wasn't the Mountie like super hot?
SarahV: OMG YES I HAVE FIC.
So, without having seen the show, Sarah, myself, and Thea drove to St. Louis to see Meg and on the way she read me Loving North. I was hooked. I believed. Then I saw Mounty on the Bounty. Sold. Sold on the spot. I came home, bought all four seasons, with instructions from Sarah on how to proceed and inhaled every fic known to man.
4. This led to a love for, Canada, Canadian film, Callum Keith Rennie (which borders on very very unhealthy) Paul Gross, Don McKellar, Dan MacIvor, Rebecca Jenkins, Hugh Dillon and many many more. And the best damn body of fic I have ever, ever read. Stellar stuff.
5. My friends at work. I have incredible co-workers who are now genuine friends. Even the guys have been coming up and asking about my PCOS and not flinching when I say "ovaries" and it's just a fabulous network of support. We hang out all the time and they make going to work a pleasure
6. Despite my bitching, I love what I study.
7. Despite occasional bitching, I love teaching.
8. Despite my bitching, we figured out what's wrong with me and now we can help control it.
9. Tabula Rasa. I've been watching since the end of last year and now I am a very minor player. It's been interesting. Lots of fun.
10. Callum Keith Rennie's ears. I have a thing for them.
