Uh, yeah. A tad premature.
I just made a 3 o clock nail appointment with a friend. The snow has melted and the UofA has joined in the complete hysterical breakdown of everyone in the South.
My god......it's not even ICY.

Date: 2006-12-01 09:39 pm (UTC)I'll admit I get caught up a bit in the hysteria. I always go to Wal-Mart and buy a couple days worth of food just in case. Part of it is living in Texas, where it snowed maybe TWICE the whole time I was growing up. Another part of it is is that my attitude in situations like this is "if I don't do it, it'll come back to bite me in the ass." It's happened a couple of times before. I got snowed in in March 2003 with only peanut butter and crackers to eat because I thought there was NO WAY it could snow 4 inches in MARCH. Then this past February I agreed to go with a friend to the Dart Room as a designated driver then came out about midnight to find everything covered by 4 inches of snow. Driving 2 hours in the snow with my windshield wipers freezing over numerous times to take them home and then get back to my apartment was not fun.
So yeah, it's probably an overreaction but those are my reasons for it.
