I know this isn't the point you're making, but it sounds like fun! :D I wish we had stuff like that here. All we have are little corn mazes with half-assed haunted houses.

Dude, really? I wonder why that is? Do other cities up there do stuff?

Halloween is HUGE down here in the South. Now, Kansas City (where the Beast is) is not in the south, it's the mid-west. But still. The South is just all tied up in this old school Christian/occult/voodoo history.

Most of the stuff here is geared toward kids or just parties, which I'm not really into. I'd love a good haunted house or something like that.

I think I need to come spend a Halloween in the South sometime.

I just have to point out, that on the list of "friends with health ailments", you rank near the top. In fact, you certainly suffer from at least two that were on that list. I seriously question your judgement in going.

But since you didn't throw your neck out, or nearly kill yourself in any other way, I guess the warnings were a little stringent...

The only reason those things DID NOT happen is because I sandwiched myself between Sarah and Meg and closed my eyes the entire time.
